Vinyasa is concerned with the flow of yoga poses one into another, connected by the breath. In this class we will use flowing movements to wake up our muscles and energize our breathing, while developing strength and balance. We will also spend some time each week studying body alignment in the poses, designed to engage your mind and reduce possibility of injury. Please have at least 6 months' experience with yoga.
Marie Hart has studied yoga, meditation and chanting since 1978, and was a dancer for 30 years. She has taught yoga full time for ten years and loves to share her enthusiasm for yoga in motion. She graduated from the Yoga Room's Advanced Studies Program in 2000 and is a student of Donald Moyer. Her class was chosen "Best Yoga Class" in the East Bay Express's "Best of the East Bay" in 2001.
You are welcome to join the class on either a series or a drop-in basis. For those joining mid-series, the series fee will be prorated. Full-time college students may receive a reduction in the series fee. For more information, call Marie at 510-658-3097.
