PRACTICE
with Barbara Papini
Monday Evening, 7:30–9:00pm
October 27–November 24, 2008
5 weeks/ $70
This series honors the cyclical nature of a woman's life.
Today we are often distracted from listening to our bodies’
needs as women. In these classes, we will explore a practice
of yoga that restores and maintains balance during the monthly
cycle. We will also address the issues of pre- through post-menopause,
acknowledging the wisdom that can accompany this part of our
life cycle. Our reference will be The Woman's Yoga Book
by Bobby Clennell. Participants should have at least one year's
experience of yoga.
Barbara Papini, mother and grandmother, has been practicing
yoga since l974. She is on the Yoga Room Advanced Studies
staff and has studied with Geeta Iyengar at the Iyengar Institute
in Pune, India. She taught prenatal yoga for l6 years. Barbara
now teaches general classes and offers workshops and retreats
for women.
To register for this class, send a check for $70 made payable
